Loading Houses
Loading houses form a dedicated loading dock on the outside of a building, typically incorporating a dock leveler within an insulated enclosure. Dock Technik’s loading houses are a great option for energy saving, helping to reduce cold bridging and air leakage by installing the dock leveler assembly outside the main building. They also allow the installation of a dock leveler where it is not possible by locating it outside the building within a dedicated loading house in the existing warehouse floor. A wide range of construction is available that includes insulation, lighting and all necessary dock equipment for every bespoke installation.
The
load house minimizes downtime and returns your loading bay operation to peak
efficiency within the shortest possible time.
It
is important for product and personnel to maintain the desired temperature in a
temperature controlled environment in the loading bay. However, Dock Technik’s
load house model is not limited to temperature controlled buildings; this can
for example create additional space inside your building for marshalling loads.
The company has a fully constructed loading bay added to the façade of the
building, which is suitable for existing buildings or new construction and does
not need to be installed square; If your loading area is restricted it can be
installed at an angle to give maximum space for drivers.
The
load house is supplied in two basic classes, the first being a lower support
frame with side walkways mounted on sturdy adjustable support legs and
incorporating the chosen model and size of dock leveler. Secondly, upper part
with steel structure and clad with single skin or insulated panels in the color
of your choice.
Ultimately,
what mount on the front of the construction is your choice and the size of the
dock shelter. The company provides a complete install package with all the
accessories and flashing of rainwater to seal the building.
One
of the recent changes in road haulage has been the advent of the use of double
deck trailers. These trailers use up a lot of trailer volume but are much
larger in result; this can cause significant problems in distribution centers
where conventional facilities cannot cope with a 5 meter high trailer. If
buildings do not allow the installation of internal ramps or tailboard slots on
ramps are not possible, Doc Technik’s loading houses are always a good option.
A
complete loading house consists of a loading opening with a dock leveler, a
pedestal with wall and ceiling cladding, and a dock shelter. In combination
with insulated Dock Technik’s industrial doors, loading houses are mainly suggested
for loading goods that are temperature sensitive.
